"For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline."
- 2 Timothy 1:7
I am: God's very own child, a mother, wife, daughter, sister, artist....
I like to: be with my family, draw, write, take pictures, bake
I love: God, being a mother and a bass player's girl, family, my church families
Growing up I cannot remember a time when I wasn't drawing all over something or reading. I was blessed to be home-schooled by a mom who treasured books and fostered my siblings' and I's creativity - often at great expense. The world was my canvas! Walls, takeout boxes, the inside covers of pew Bibles, or any other scrap of paper I got my hands on fell pray to my endless "expression."
Poor Mama, she suffered through the early years like a champ.
Over time I grew to adore art and photography and developed my skills through drawing and taking pictures for friends and family. Along the way I fell in love with artists like Hilary Knight, of Eloise at The Plazafame, Judith Gwyn Brown, The Best Little Christmas Pageant Ever, and countless other children's illustrators who fostered my love for spunky characters and elegant lines.
Fast-forward three years to when my then sweetheart (now husband) gave me a toolbox full of Copic art markers for our first Christmas together and my journey towards turning my "dream" into a full fledged reality began.
I am so grateful to have an amazing family and support system around me, and so thankful to God for this chance to use and share my passion with others.
Drop me a line if you have a question (I heart e-mail), and keep a look out for the on-line store that's coming very soon!
Thanks for stopping by!
